PC#9 – reworking


Covered it entirely with a stone-like hue so that the thickened portions stand out from the background. It is lit with artificial light from above and natural from below.

    But I really like the original! Is it allowed to say that?

      Of course you can.

      What prompted me to paint it over entirely was the extremes in the pink hand against a powder blue background. It clashed. I’ve done more to the painting, adding some colour to the symbols, but not really done with the piece yet. Perhaps you’ll like the finished painting.

    It’s the orange spirals in the hand that capture my attention, make me think of the American Southwest and petroglyphs — (petrographs?)
    Anyway, however you work it, it’s a complex and interesting piece.
