Splash, Dash and Shout – ongoing process

DSC_0002

Filling in the blankish spaces with a colour about equal to pond scum, which is actually very nice. Once satisfied with this background for the brush strokes, then another general sanding with a 120 grit block before carrying on.

I’ve already figured out some fun for the next step… think weaving with gold and silver wire. 🙂

The best thing about painting like this (for me anyways) is that it has two very interesting advantages; it is really time-consuming and totally dependent on the imagination. Nothing is a fore-gone conclusion as to when, if ever, the piece is ‘done’. I could go on forever with the intricacies and each step along the way has the ability to change the next.
