Dorset – The Village

DSC_0069

A bridge, a cluster of homes, cottages and businesses make up this tiny dot in the wilderness. You are looking at the entire village. Beside it runs Highway 35, a marvel of easy driving and one that figures heavily in my life. There has never been a time, from my early teens to my 67th birthday today, that it did not draw me out to explore the northlands. It was among those wooded hills and lakes that I had my life’s most memorable moments, never to be forgotten. To go back and explore old haunts of such fun and pleasure revives this old loon to once again feel like the teenager I once was.
