Nestled close to the Lake Huron coastline, the farms eke out a fairly good existence in the prevalent sandy soils. This house and barn caught my interest for the gingerbread trim on the porch, the cleanliness of the yard and, in particular, the firepit beside the road. It altogether evokes a welcoming atmosphere.
