Irminsul Project – collage tools I use.

Irminsul project

Once enough ‘rough cuts’ are used as a base, it’s time to start getting serious about composition and detail.

For this I’m using scissors, scotch tape, thin paper, a soft pencil, a fine paint brush, gloss medium watered down in a pie plate, a jar with water for cleaning equipment and a wide assortment of photographs that I no longer care about. Magazines work well too, but I like the shiny surface and thickness of old snaps best.

I’ll be posting pictures of the procedure next… right after I shovel out the driveway from the foot of wet snow we got last night.

  1. I love the elements in the photograph that you used to display your tools. Great work.
