One Response to Modern Art Idiocy

On abovetopsecret.com, there was a lively debate about the value of ‘modern art’ and one I could not resist becoming involved in. What constitutes Modern Art anyways? Is it the dribblings of Jackson Pollock or the combined works of the Canadian Group of Seven, both of which rose to wide acclaim? Matisse, Klimpt, Van Gogh… all these wonderful artists may be clumped into the generic shoe-box of ‘Modern Art. All were vilified or lauded, usually dependent upon the mood, political bias or jealousy of the viewer. Fun stuff.
