Once enough ‘rough cuts’ are used as a base, it’s time to start getting serious about composition and detail.
For this I’m using scissors, scotch tape, thin paper, a soft pencil, a fine paint brush, gloss medium watered down in a pie plate, a jar with water for cleaning equipment and a wide assortment of photographs that I no longer care about. Magazines work well too, but I like the shiny surface and thickness of old snaps best.
I’ll be posting pictures of the procedure next… right after I shovel out the driveway from the foot of wet snow we got last night.
